“Artscape“ in Brussels: advocacy training and meetings with EU institutional representatives

From November 13 to 16, the arts agency “Artscape”, together with other seven Lithuanian NGOs, visited Brussels for advocacy training and meetings with leaders of EU institutions. The focus of these engagements was to deepen knowledge about advocacy strategies.

“It was beneficial to see how advocacy works at the European level and what impact NGOs can have on decision-making. The visit highlighted the potential of Artscape’s advocacy – through art – to address complex and difficult social issues such as the challenges of migration. The newly established inter-institutional partnerships during the visit will help share knowledge, practices, and develop joint projects on an international level”,- says Aistė Ulubey, the founder and director of the arts agency „Artscape“, who participated in the visit.

The visit brought together “Artscape”, LSS Vilnius City Branch „Padėk pritapti“, „Lietuvos Negalios Organizacijų Forumas“, Žmogaus teisių stebėjimo institutas, „Lietuvos Spina Bifida ir Hidrocefalija asociacija“, diabetes club for children and young people „Diabitė“, national LGBT rights organisation LGL.
