Artscape participated in the international two-day FOR-IN conference

On February 20-21, the arts agency “Artscape” participated in the international FOR-IN conference “Socio-economic Inclusion on the Ground: from Myriad Contemporary Practices to a Future Systematic Approach”, which took place in Vilnius.

The event was opened by the Minister of Social Security and Labor of the Republic of Lithuania, Monika Navickienė, the Director of the North Council of Ministers’ Office in Lithuania, Helén Nilsson, and the representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) for the North and Baltic countries, Yolande Ditewig.

Speakers and discussion participants shared the latest integration indicators, practical examples, and experiences from different countries. The aim of the concluding “For-In” conference was to exchange knowledge necessary for ensuring holistic integration policies at the local level.

The “For-In” project is based on broad regional and specific country partnerships. These partnerships aim to leverage existing initiatives in the Baltic countries and the extensive experience of the Nordic countries to further strengthen the capabilities of local government institutions, civil society, refugee and immigrant communities, and other integration stakeholders.

The conference was organized by the Nordic Council of Ministers in Lithuania, UNHCR Representation for the Nordic and Baltic countries, and Diversity Development Group.
