Meet the Mentees & Mentors of Artscape Mentorship Program 2024: Daniil  Perchakl (Ukraine)

Daniil Perchak is a multidisciplinary artist working in the digital audiovisual field, exploring filmmaking, photography, and sound. He has exhibited experimental video works in Ukraine (Kharkiv, Kyiv, Lviv) and Belarus (Minsk), blending documentary, collage, abstraction, and improvisation. Daniil keeps a photo diary on Instagram, capturing snapshots of daily life, and is currently documenting life in Lithuania while DJing at Palanga Street Radio. His work reflects a dynamic intersection of documentary realism and artistic experimentation, creating a unique lens on contemporary experiences.

 

His mentor, Dagnė Vildžiūnaitė, is an accomplished film and television producer with over 20 years of experience in the audiovisual industry. In 2007, she founded the production company “Just a Moment,” which has produced a wide range of projects, from feature films and documentaries to animated films and media projects. Dagnė is an active member of several film professional organizations, including the Lithuanian Film Culture Association, ACE, EAVE, European Producers Club, and the European Film Academy. Her recent productions include the dance and architecture film cycle Dance Plus City, co-produced with partners from France, Estonia, Latvia, and Ukraine, and Chirping Soul, the first Lithuanian 3D film directed by Deimantas Narkevičius, showcased at Rotterdam, Marseille, and Tallinn film festivals. Her work emphasizes cross-disciplinary collaboration and has been featured in over 30 festivals and art spaces worldwide.

Artscape Mentorship Program is a cultural-educational program created to nurture creativity and empower artists and creatives with a refugee background to develop their artistic and cultural ideas.

Program partners: the Vilnius City Municipality, the Kazickas Family Foundation, and the Lithuanian Culture Council.

The activity is part of the “Get the net” project (The Action Civil Society Cooperation in the fields of Youth, Education and Training – FPA (ERASMUS-2023-CSC-OG-FPA).
