Summer Camps
Children’s and youth camps run by the Arts Agency Artscape attract an increasing amount of attention every summer. The main Lithuanian cities have creative day camps that encourage youngsters to express their creativity while providing a secure and instructive environment for them. A few of the camp’s guiding values include respecting each camper’s perspective and encouraging mutual development. Children directly collaborate with no less than two professional educators and volunteers from the creative and social work fields in order to come to an agreement and produce successful performance of activities.
Professional artists conduct practical theater and performing arts instructional seminars at youth creative camps. Camps are planned using lessons learned from prior “Artscape” camps and the tenets of the renowned “Power of Hope” youth camp. Camps are run on weekdays and weekends, with a continual emphasis on travelling to the camp, establishing group standards, building relationships with others and with the outside world, and making a commitment to the future. Target audience for the project: young refugees seeking asylum in Lithuania.
