Arts Agency Artscape is looking for volunteers for the „Creative Missions“ program

We are searching for helpers to Creative Missions’ educators, professional artists working with migrant children and youth. We are looking for volunteers!

CREATIVE MISSIONS

Creating art productions and educational programs, „Artscape“ aims to raise cultural accessibility and mutual community interaction. In cooperation with artists, local communities and vulnerable society groups, we aim to enable vulnerable society groups to participate in culture and initiate social change through high quality art projects.

The „Creative Missions“ project was started with the aim to create safe spaces for children, women and men living in migrant acommodation places. In regularly visiting centers with art and education activities, we want to show solidarity, support, emotional aid and integrate through creativity.

Fourteen „Artscape“ educators have carried out 596 creative missions‘ educations aimed at art in 2022. Overall 981 migrants and refugees participated. Educators provide children, teenagers, unaccompanied minors, youth and women with choreography, theatre directing, art therapy, performing arts, design creating and other activities. During Creative Missions, educators are being provided with „Artscape“ team assistance with activity implementation and all supplies needed.

Last year the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB), picked from 64 candidates, awarded „Artscape“ for Creative Missions. CEB awards for social cohesion is an annual event dedicated to appreciating 1 project that solves a relevant social problem out of 42 CEB countries-applicants. The award is related to the CEB position that suitable investments into the social sector can have a massive positive economic and social impact to the society.
