“Artscape” Visits International Conference “Civil Society Organizations at the Forefront of Support for Refugees”

From November 13-15, the arts agency “Artscape,” along with three representatives from Lithuanian NGOs, attended the international conference “Civil Society Organizations at the Forefront of Support for Refugees” organized by the Open Lithuania Fund in Warsaw. Representatives from eleven countries gathered to share experiences and address challenges in ensuring the rights of refugees and migrants.

Raimonda Lebelionytė-Alseikienė, the Integration Projects Coordinator of our agency, participated in one of the sessions, sharing insights into organizing services for vulnerable migrants. “We are delighted to have the opportunity to share our work with children – children who are in Lithuania without their parents. It is crucial to emphasize that too little attention is given to children, first and foremost as children, rather than just migrants. Through our applied methods, we strive to give children the right to be children, to be responsible for children’s concerns, because it is a children’s right,” said R. Lebelionytė-Alseikienė during the conference.

She also presented the “Artscape” Creative Missions Program to the participants. Representatives from “Artscape,” “Diversity Development Group,” the Lithuanian Red Cross, and “Sienos grupė” took part in the conference.
