Educational tours of Lithuanian schools for the “When Histories Meet” project
From March to May, the “Diversity Development Group”, the partners of the project “When Stories Meet”, are running educational tours in Lithuanian schools to raise awareness about contemporary migration processes. The lessons also look at the challenges of the global world through interactive and dialogue-promoting activities, with the aim of providing a deeper and more comprehensive view of the reality in which students live, and to develop competencies to critically assess and relate to global challenges.

In order to increase the impact of promoting tolerance towards third-country citizens among pupils, some schools also display portrait photographs of third-country nationals for the whole school community to see. These portraits were taken by internationally renowned photojournalists, also known in Lithuania as the founders of NARA, Artūras Morozovas and Berta Tilmantaitė, who have won awards for their artistic work in international competitions and festivals.
