The Eve of World Refugee Day 2024 at Sapieha Palace
On the Eve of World Refugee Day, June 19 at 4:30 PM, we Invite you to a performance and discussion on the topic of migration
 Performance “El Dorado” (.XYZ Collective)
The performance “El Dorado” aims to highlight the refugee crisis, the challenges faced by refugees, and the bureaucratic and cultural barriers they encounter. Participants will simulate the refugee journey – from document checks to psychological pressure and uncertainty. This artistic endeavor seeks to reveal the experiences of refugees, fostering empathy and understanding within society.
.XYZ Collective, composed of Barbora Matonytė, Denisas Kolomyckis, and Liudvikas Kesminas, was founded out of a desire to create an alternative to mainstream galleries and institutions. It also serves as a platform for experimentation and showcasing their work, challenging established art norms and expanding conventional exhibition and thematic boundaries.
